Promoting Sites

There are three sites I would like to promote myself. They are all non-profit organizations but their goals and cause are very useful.

One is READ BETTER BE BETTER.. It’s a literacy program build for all ages from 3rd grade until HighSchool to teach children to read and comprehend.

Read Better Be Better is committed to ensuring that high-quality education is accessible to all students, focusing on the importance of 3rd-grade literacy as a foundation for equity and social justice.

I had an internship there back in 2022 or 2023 as an accountant assistant. It was a very inspiring advocacy and the team is really great. I wish I can work for them again. In some way, I am making an impact by promoting them.

The second one is BRIGHT FOCUS FOUNDATION.

They are a non-profit organization that funds and collects donations to try to find a cure for Alzheimer’s Disease, Macular Degeneration and Glaucoma. Their headquarters is in Clarksburg, MD. They sift through all the donations by hand. They collect the funds to give grants to the scientists who will now do research to try to cure these diseases. It’s for a good cause.

I also worked here as a data management specialist for 1 year. 2016-2017.

And Lastly is CHR (Center for Health and Recovery)

In November of 2016, I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. It was devastating to know that I have a condition that could never be cured and can only be suppressed by medicine. CHR is a center I go to socialize with people, to learn how to cope with my symptoms and recover from it. They offered free food from breakfast till dinner. You just need to be qualified and apply for it. This is where my expressions of hope and my jewelry making journey began. They have a jewelry making class every Wednesday and I learned how to make my own jewelry. Now I can create my own and will try to sell them in the future. It is a fun place to go to.
