how to solve problems using pythagorean theorem
Trivia
The Origins:
According to Google, Pythagorean Theorem (a2 + b2 = c2) predates the Greek mathematician Pythagoras (16th century BCE) by centuries, known to ancient Babylonians (Plimton 322 tablet, c. 1900 BCE) and Egyptians (knotted ropes for 3-4-5 triangles) for practical purposes, but Pythagoras and his school are credited with generalizing it and possibly providing the first proof, formalizing the concept in mathematics.
Given the distance of 25.36 cm for A
distance of 25.33 for B. how to solve distance C.
This is calculating from point A to point B to point C.
We also used a method in math called Direct Substitution.
Direct Substitution is a fundamental math method, especially for limits in calculus, where you simply plug or put in the value of a variable directly into the function or equation to find the result.
So if we use the formula: c2 = a2 + b2 or c = √a2 + b2. Substitute the given distances. c = √(25.36)2 + (25.33)2 .. the 2 here is squared.
The answer is: 643.1296 + 641.6089 =1,284.7385 square root of the answer is:
35.843
There’s a much faster way to automate this problem solving skills. By visiting this link: Pythagorean Theorem. There you can just put in your given distances or numbers and it will automatically calculate for you. Let me show you how.

Application
A brief application of pythagorean theorem is used by electrical engineers like my father to figure out the values of vars(volts + amperes), watts and kva(1000 x volts+amperes). For engineering students this is very helpful.
